Winter is getting here slowly, we've had a generally mild October and the grass on the wicket in the paddock has recovered very well considering the use it's had from 'Football kids'. The lazy Chav/Bogan Staffordshire Bull Terrier owners who can't be asked to walk their ill trained dogs properly are now taking the easy option of taking their dogs into the 'Fenced off' Paddock so that they can shit everywhere all over a place set aside for kids to play!
I've been in there this morning and raked residual grass cuttings and leaves off the batting end and couple of piles of Dog shit and it's looking vary healthy. I invested in some quality grass seed a month or so ago which came with nutrients and that seems to have worked very well.
It's sunny at the minute and 12 degrees, hopefully we'll get a knock about in during the day, so I'm looking forward to that.
